Context
Catalyst is FORGE Design Studios’ annual designathon. During this UX-focused competition, undergraduate students from across the nation collaborate in teams of 2-3 to address a real-world design challenge. Participants brainstorm areas of opportunity, generate solutions, build prototypes, and present to industry professionals - all in 40 hours. It empowers student designers and innovators to build their design thinking, problem-solving, and visual design skills. The free, weekend-long designathon, is aimed to inspire students from all academic backgrounds and experience levels, encouraging them to take on today and tomorrow’s biggest challenges.
I shared my talk on ‘Elevate your design research’ as part of the designathon to help to inspire the teams with ways to conduct research.
